Seko spent his first year after school as a professional basketball player and student at the Technical University of Chemnitz. He completed his studies as a physical therapist in 1999 but had to change his profession soon after for medical reasons.
The following years Seko worked as a financial advisor and as freelance personal trainer in the Rhein-Neckar area of Germany. In 2004 he began working in renewable energies, with a focus on photovoltaic systems. He later co-founded his first photovoltaic distribution and installation company in 2006. Starting out with a small budget of less than 400 EUR, he was able to achieve company revenues of over 1 million euro within 18 months, raising it to more than 3 million euro in revenues the following year.
In 2010 Seko decided to extend his formal education and leave the solar industry. He completed his studies of economics & business administration in 2014, at Goethe University in Frankfurt am Main. The topic if his bachelor thesis was “Marketing concepts in telemedicine – videoconferencing with physicians”. After a year of research and IT preparation, he founded SWIL Systems (based in Frankfurt am Main) in 2016, with the goal of developing highly scalable software solutions for the e-health sector.
Upon completion of the first software prototype, the ready to market version was programmed and SWIL Systems rolled out its first product under the brand name ZUMEDU. Seko is the senior executive of SWIL Systems. ZUMEDU offers peer-to-peer videoconferencing in browsers and an online calendar for health care professionals (physicians, psychologist, …) free of charge.
In 2020 he entered the executive team of SynapCon to further develop the videoconferencing tool for the use in medical research.
